Background
The unboxing video serves to introduce the latest GL.iNet product, showcasing its appearance and ease of setup. As a multimedia designer, I was tasked with filming and editing the videos. In the following sections, I will detail the preparation process and the resulting output of the project.
How videos are produced?
Creating an unboxing video involves close collaboration between the marketing and design teams, and the following paragraphs offer a detailed outline of the step-by-step process.
StoryBoard/Script
Initially, the marketing team produces a storyboard that includes relevant information such as the title, steps, and references for the video's opening.
Photo/Video Filming
Once the storyboard is completed, filming can begin, by me capturing footage using a variety of techniques such as tilt, pan, stabilized, and handheld shots.
Video Editing
After filming is complete, I proceed to select suitable materials for editing, making adjustments to color and exposure as needed. Subtitles, background music, and various effects such as dissolve and stabilizer effects are then added to create a polished final product.
Design Video Thumbnail
Additionally, a video thumbnail is designed, featuring an appealing background image and the product's name and model.
With all materials prepared, the marketing team is responsible for uploading the video, which can serve as a valuable resource for customers seeking guidance on product setup.
