Kimi Chan is a multimedia designer based in Hong Kong. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media in 2021 and has contributed to various projects encompassing photography, videography, graphic design, and UX/UI design.

Kimi is also a freelance photographer with a keen passion for capturing the world around her. Her portfolio features various subjects, including landscapes, cityscapes, products, and portraits. Her photographic style is marked by a genuine and serene aesthetic, effectively portraying the city as both vibrant and tranquil, as well as authentic and abstract. Since 2018, Kimi has showcased her work on social media, gaining a following of over a thousand on Instagram (@kimic.foto).

2018 July - Published Photo Album

Publishing an album was a truly unforgettable experience. Capturing the photographs took over a year, and designing the book required several additional months. This experience served as a valuable learning opportunity for me.

2018 September - Nikon 2018 Calendar Photograph Solicitation

I participated in the 2018 Nikon Calendar Photograph Solicitation and was fortunate to be shortlisted for inclusion. My work will be considered for the Nikon 2018 Calendar for the month of October.

2019 March - HKDI Academic Social Photography Exhibition

The collection of photographs taken on ChunYeung Street has been selected for inclusion in this competition. These images capture the authentic and unfiltered scenes of everyday life experienced by the street's residents.

2023 July - First featured post on HONGKONGUIDE!

A few months ago, I capture photographs at the Murray Hotel - one of the most breathtaking hotels I have ever seen. While the hotel building itself was impressive, I was particularly drawn to the old "Cassia javanica" tree, which was in full bloom for a limited period. Gazing at the uniquely shaped pink flowers and immersing myself in the peaceful surroundings made for a truly wonderful and unforgettable day.
